Water Desalination Plant

Water Desalination Plant

At QNCC, we are committed to sustainable water usage, and our Water Desalination Plant is a crucial component in achieving this goal. Our state-of-the-art plant has a production capacity of 3000 M3/day and serves the water needs of our cement plants and residential colony of employees.

The process of desalination involves removing salt and other minerals from seawater to produce fresh, drinkable water. Our Water Desalination Plant uses reverse osmosis, which is recognized as one of the most efficient and cost-effective methods of desalination.

Our plant is equipped with advanced monitoring systems to ensure that the water produced meets the highest quality standards. We regularly test and analyze our water to ensure that it is safe for consumption and meets all regulatory requirements.

Located close to Umm Bab, Qatar, our desalination plant (including MED-TVC desalination unit and boiler) uses distillate water for both cement production and drinking water (after potabilisation).

Technical Description

The Water Desalination Plant is designed to handle sea water intake, brine reject, MED-TVC unit, boiler, and ancillaries. The desalination unit and boiler are delivered as skid mounted packages to reduce site works. The MED-TVC unit is fitted with a thermal vapor compressor and 2 evaporation cells.

At QNCC, we are proud to operate our Water Desalination Plant as a crucial part of our commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible resource management. Our plant is just one of the many ways we are working to reduce our environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future.
